It’s hard to believe, but the Range Rover Sport has just turned twenty years old. How time flies! Celebrating a very successful two decades of sporting luxury, Land Rover has recently launched the limited Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition. This new edition is offered in Sanguinello Orange, a SV Ultra Metallic Gloss paint, to recall the first Range Rover Sport that came into the world in 2005 and to continue the colour signature featured in every generation of the model. Two other exterior colours are also available: Santorini Black and Ostuni Pearl White. Let’s take a closer look at some of the features of this twentieth anniversary edition.
Overcoming Challenges for Over Two Decades
Over the past two decades, the Range Rover Sport has consistently demonstrated its capability, rising to some of the world’s toughest challenges. In 2013, the second-generation model set a new record for a production SUV at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the United States. In the United Arab Emirates, it broke the record by crossing the world’s largest desert in just 10 hours and 22 minutes. Five years later, it made history in China, becoming the first vehicle to conquer the 999 steps of Heaven’s Gate. It mastered low-grip surfaces and extreme 45-degree inclines with remarkable traction, control, and composure. In 2022, Range Rover Sport and stunt driver Jessica Hawkins fought against tons of rushing water to drive 193 m up the Kárahnjúkar hydroelectric dam in Iceland during the reveal of the third-generation model.
Elevated Exterior Details
Every detail is intentional. The Black Exterior package introduces a darker trim that gives the SUV a stealthy figure and a more modern presence. All groups feature “TWENTY” etchings on the sides and a 23-inch gloss silver wheels or optional gloss black wheels with black brake calipers. The privacy glass gives the vehicle a sharp and assertive presence, adds a further distinction and exclusivity, heightens its enigmatic character, and creates a sharper contrast.
Refined Interior Features
As you step inside, you’re greeted by illuminated “TWENTY EDITION” sill plates, setting the tone for an exceptional luxury cabin. The interior boasts Ebony Windsor leather seats, derived from the carbon-backed bucket seats found in the Range Rover Sport SV. Lightweight, sleek, and motorsport-inspired, these seats combine precision-engineered ergonomics with luxury craftsmanship. The black suede cloth roofline, along with the seatbacks and dashboard trim finished in matte forged carbon fibre, creates a distinctly cozy and dynamic ambience in the cabin. The “TWENTY EDITION” lettering on the centre console adds refinement to this luxury vehicle.
Besides these special touches, the model is equipped with heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, as well as heated and ventilated rear seats. It also includes a heated steering wheel, a dual-zone climate control system, and an 18-speaker Meridian 3D surround sound system. Additional highlights include a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch infotainment system, complemented by metal pedals and a wireless smartphone charger.
High‑Performance Powertrain
TWENTY Edition’s powertrain highlights the performance‑driven ethos that characterizes the model. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 mild-hybrid engine provides effortlessly dynamic performance, producing 397 kW and 523 hp. It delivers a traditional driving experience, emphasizing power and immediacy, and enables the crossover to accelerate from 0 km/h to 96 km/h in 4.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 250 km/h.
